I would like to think that living in Miami has prepared me for the Hong Kong weather, but I was sadly mistaken. When we arrived it was about 95 degrees, and even when inside you can still feel the heat!
Sham Shui Po, where I will be living here, is an area of Hong Kong that is truly authentic and gives one an understanding of what it would be like to actually live in Hong Kong. The streets are crowded with locals hanging outside, shopping, and eating in one of Sham Shui Po markets called Thieves Market. The name is exactly what you think. If you have been pick-pocketed while in Hong Kong, don't fear, you can head over to this market to possibly reclaim your lost possessions - at a price.
